Registered Veterinary Technician work in Toronto, applying anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment skills in a full time veterinary hospital setting. Support examinations, procedures, and daily patient care.

VCA Canada seeks an RVT with at least one year of post-graduation experience. You will assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia. The work includes IV catheter placement, medications, laboratory samples, client education, and accurate records. You will also support team training and scheduled or walk-in appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries
- Prepare patients and monitor anesthesia, recovery, and pain management
- Place IV catheters and administer directed medications, fluids, and treatments
- Collect and process blood,



urine, cytology, and laboratory samples
- Educate clients and maintain patient files, logs, and inventory

Requirements:

- Complete a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program
- Remain eligible for registration in the applicable province
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient care, anesthesia, pharmacology, and procedures
- Use venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory techniques
- Safely handle animals and communicate compassionately with clients
