This Employment Consultant assignment serves clients experiencing multiple barriers to employment. You will encourage, motivate, and support clients while documenting strengths, needs, abilities, and employment goals. The work includes pre-employment assistance, career development, job search training, and follow-up that supports job retention.
Key Responsibilities: Assess clients’ employment-related needs and abilities
Support individualized planning toward long-term employment
Deliver work preparation and skill development activities




Facilitate referrals and community resource navigation
Coordinate training, including on-the-job training
Requirements: Experience conducting and interpreting client assessments
Background in vocational counselling and individualized goal planning
Knowledge of career development and unemployment issues
Understanding of confidentiality and qualified codes
Relevant post-secondary education is preferred
Apply vocational counselling, assessment, and planning expertise while helping WCG clients develop skills for lasting employment.
