Operate roll-off trucks and pup trailers in Sparwood, BC, delivering secure, efficient waste removal with accurate route documentation. This safety-sensitive position requires drug and alcohol testing.
The Driver collects waste from customer sites and transports it to post-collection facilities for proper disposal. Duties include operating roll-off and flatbed trucks, using truck-mounted forklifts, and maintaining professional customer service. Experience in mine site heavy equipment operations is required.
Key Responsibilities: Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports
Collect waste and transport materials to disposal facilities
Operate trucks and equipment using prescribed techniques




Communicate hazards and mechanical problems immediately
Maintain clean vehicles and accurate service records
Requirements: Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
Fairly clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract for five years
Experience operating heavy equipment in mine sites
Roll-off truck experience preferred; pup trailer proficiency valuable
Ability to perform physical, labour-intensive tasks
Bring Class 1 driving, equipment operation, safety awareness, and route discipline to GFL waste services in Sparwood.
