Operate excavators, loaders, and bulldozers safely at a landfill while baling, loading, and moving waste material. Daily equipment checks support dependable site operations.

GFL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate equipment at an assigned landfill site. The work includes steering, guiding, or driving machinery, maintaining equipment, and supporting waste loading activities. Operators may substitute for absent crew members when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate equipment to bale and load waste into trailers
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Grease equipment and check or add fluids daily
- Clean trash from tracks and gear mechanisms
- Maintain grounds and facility appearance

Requirements:

- Five or more years operating excavators, loaders, dozers, and water trucks
- Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed
- Ability to steer, guide, and drive assigned heavy equipment
- Ability to use steering wheels, shifters, levers, buttons, and pedals
