Diagnose and repair construction and forestry equipment as a Heavy Equipment Technician at Brandt’s Ottawa location. Work afternoon shifts in a shop environment.
This full time Heavy Equipment Technician position supports Brandt Construction & Forestry in Ottawa. You will evaluate equipment, diagnose faults, assemble and disassemble components, and complete repairs. The work includes attachments, computer systems, service documentation, parts catalogues, and John Deere Service Advisor. Safety, accurate work orders, and customer service are central to the position.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, assemble, disassemble, and repair heavy-duty equipment
Use tools, instruments, equipment, and computer systems safely
Document machine information, actions, and time on work orders




Order parts using catalogues and parts personnel
Road test equipment and check attachment operation
Requirements: Heavy equipment mechanical experience preferred
Certified Journeyperson designation preferred
Electrical diagnosis and aftertreatment experience considered an asset
Commitment to customer service and service excellence
Ability to assess hazards and work safely
Bring heavy equipment repair, diagnostic, documentation, and customer service skills to Brandt’s Ottawa Construction & Forestry shop.
