Senior Accountant opportunities in Toronto focus on assurance, accounting, and financial reporting for public company clients at MNP. This is a full time, on-site position.
As a Senior Accountant, you will serve clients through compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements. The work includes ASPE, GAAP, SEC, and IFRS knowledge, accounting software, tax software, and client advisory. You will also support junior team members and business development.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements
Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reports
Assess audit evidence for financial statement areas
Correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries
Coach junior team members and develop client relationships
Requirements: Two to four years of relevant public accounting experience
Knowledge of ASPE, GAAP, SEC, and IFRS
Experience with accounting and tax software
Understanding of business, accounting, and management principles
Flexibility to travel as necessary
Bring public accounting experience, financial reporting knowledge, and client advisory skills to MNP’s Toronto assurance team.
