Support communication and independence as an Intervenor in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, using American Sign Language or Signed Exact English.
Sensity provides services to members of the deafblind community. This full time position supports individuals with dual sensory impairment in home and community environments. You will assist with daily living, personal care, communication, and individual goals while receiving in-house training.
Key Responsibilities: Support individuals in home and community environments
Use communication techniques to relay information
Assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation
Provide personal care, transfers, toileting, and medication administration
Complete documentation, records, and program development activities
Requirements: Relevant college diploma or certificate in human services
Experience supporting developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours
Experience supporting people with mental health conditions
Communication skills in ASL or SEE
Class G license, reliable vehicle, and clean driver's abstract
Bring communication, personal care, and independent living support skills to Sensity's deafblind services in Oro-Medonte.
