Use ferrous materials expertise to identify quality issues, hazardous materials, and contaminants for American Iron & Metal’s Ferrous team. Work rotating Monday-Friday shifts.
This Inspector position focuses on incoming and outgoing material quality within metal recycling operations. You will coordinate yard movement, direct inbound trucks, complete site checks, and communicate findings to Operations, Supervisors, and Commercial teams. Training support is included.
Key Responsibilities: Identify grades, quality issues, contaminants, and hazardous materials
Coordinate material sorting, movement, and proper yard handling
Direct inbound trucks to appropriate yard locations safely
Complete daily quality and site inspections




Communicate quality concerns and required corrective actions
Requirements: Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and contaminants
Experience in materials inspection within metal recycling preferred
Familiarity with measurement and inspection tools
Comfort working in heavy industrial and varying weather conditions
Ability to work physically demanding shifts involving heavy objects
