Provide holistic resident care as a casual Residential Care Aide in Summerland, BC, using personal care and secure transfer skills.

At Summerland Seniors Village Assisted Living, this position reports to the Clinical Lead and supports quality care. You will assist with daily living, nutrition, activities, transfers, emergencies, and resident requests. Care follows established policies while respecting dignity, confidentiality, self-determination, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting assistance
- Support meals, nourishment, dining transfers, and intake reporting
- Observe and report functional or cognitive changes
- Transfer residents using care plans and mechanical lifts
- Maintain safe, clean, homelike resident environments

Requirements:

- Graduate from a recognized Care Aide Program
- Active BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry registration
- Previous long term care experience preferred
- Pass the applicable vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check
- Communicate effectively in spoken and written English
