Apply hands-on food production and food safety knowledge as a Support Worker in Recent Minas, Nova Scotia, working in person Monday to Friday.
The Flower Cart Group seeks a Support Worker for What's Cooking? Commercial Kitchen. You will combine production experience, CFIA requirements, individualized coaching, and practical problem-solving. The work supports employees with disabilities while meeting customer specifications, quality standards, deadlines, and documentation requirements. The schedule is generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, portion, package, label, and handle food products
Operate scales, bag sealers, mixers, ovens, and labelers
Reinforce food safety, sanitation, and CFIA requirements
Coach employees using demonstrations,



visual supports, and adaptive tools
Maintain records, inventory, equipment, and inspection-ready workspaces
Requirements: Hands-on food production or commercial kitchen experience
Familiarity with CFIA requirements and federally inspected production
DCS 7 Core Competencies or willingness to obtain them
Valid Class 5 driver's licence
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted
