Apply therapeutic diet knowledge as a Cook preparing meals for residents, guests, and employees at Cogir Senior Living. This role pays $22.15 hourly.
Reporting to the Culinary Manager, you will prepare food according to planned menus, special dietary needs, and established procedures. You will review production sheets, make documented substitutions, and support meal service. The position requires food handling knowledge, physical stamina, and careful attention to resident needs.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare foods for therapeutic and specialty diets
Make menu substitutions and record them appropriately
Maintain proper food handling techniques throughout preparation
Meet scheduled times for meals and nourishments
Participate in special occasion and theme meal preparation
Requirements: Food Handler's Certificate required
Experience with special and therapeutic diets
Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation
Knowledge of Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating
Red Seal Certificate preferred
Support resident wellbeing through therapeutic meal preparation, accurate menu execution, and compliant food handling as a Cogir Senior Living Cook.
