Prepare meals for Cogir Senior Living residents, guests, and employees as a part time Cook using food handling and dietary expertise. Support daily culinary service in a retirement residence workplace.
Reporting to the Culinary Manager, the Cook prepares and delivers all foods for residents, guests, and employees. You will review menus, follow production sheets, and serve meals properly and attractively. The work includes therapeutic diets, temperature audits, standardized recipes, and safe food practices.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver foods for residents, guests, and employees
Review menus and production sheets before meal preparation
Prepare therapeutic and specialty diets according to planned menus




Complete daily temperature audits and record findings
Follow recipes, production charts, budgets, and service schedules
Requirements: Food Handler's Certificate required
Large quantity food preparation experience required
Special and therapeutic diets knowledge and experience
Provincial Food Premises Regulation knowledge required
Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand during shifts
Bring large quantity preparation, therapeutic diet knowledge, and safe food handling to Cogir Senior Living’s daily culinary service.
