Perform and report general ultrasound scans at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, using HCPC registration and postgraduate ultrasound expertise. Support patients and clinicians through accurate reporting.

This Reporting Sonographer post is based in the main ultrasound department of a QSI-accredited service linked to the University of Reading. You will independently perform and report a broad range of general ultrasound examinations, excluding obstetric scanning. The work includes timely diagnostic reports, appropriate recommendations, and supervision of junior staff. You will provide a comprehensive service while working autonomously within professional and managerial boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform general ultrasound scans excluding obstetric examinations




- Report findings and make appropriate recommendations
- Issue timely diagnostic reports from ultrasound findings
- Supervise and mentor more junior staff
- Provide productive service to patients and referring clinicians

Requirements:

- Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
- HCPC registration
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise activities under pressure
- Ability to work independently and within teams
