Support food service operations at the University of Waterloo through staff supervision, scheduling, inventory control, and customer service. This is a part-time position.
As an Assistant Supervisor, you will help manage one or more UW Food Services units. The position involves hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management for hourly employees. You will also support food preparation, financial controls, administrative duties, and customer experience improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with hiring, training, and motivating hourly staff
Schedule part time and student employees
Oversee daily unit operations when required
Maintain health, safety, sanitation, and maintenance standards
Manage ordering, inventory, cash controls, and storage security
Requirements: Food and Beverage management diploma or equivalent experience
Smart Serve certification
Several years of recent food service experience
Supervisory experience in a unionized environment
Valid G class driver's license
Bring food service supervision, operational coordination, and customer service skills to UW Food Services units at Waterloo.
