Maintain a sanitary, safe school setting as a Custodian supporting students and staff. Prepare, secure, and care for the building daily.

Reporting to the Principal, the Custodian maintains school operations and functionality. This position supports a learning environment conducive to student success and a pleasant workplace. Duties include occupancy preparation, security, cleaning, supplies, basic maintenance, building operation, and summer work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ready the school building for occupancy each day
- Secure the building at the end of each day
- Maintain clean and safe daily and weekly conditions
- Assist with supplies and basic building maintenance
- Support building operation and summer duties

Requirements:

- Grade 6 education or equivalent life experience
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Fluency in multiple Nunavut official languages considered an asset
- Northern cross-cultural experience considered an asset
