Support YMCA child care programs as a Dietary Planner (Cook) in St. Thomas, preparing meals and snacks for children’s diverse needs.
This full-time permanent position serves Cornerview YMCA as soon as possible or Parkview YMCA around January 2027. You will apply Canada Food Guide knowledge, address health and religious dietary restrictions, and provide snack support to local YMCA School Age Programs. Food ordering, purchasing, and budget management are central responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare nutritious childcare meals and snacks
Support snacks for YMCA School Age Programs
Order food and maintain program budget requirements
Plan meals meeting individual dietary needs
Share resources with centre and dietary teams
Requirements: Food Handler’s Certification recognized by public health
Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
Minimum age of eighteen for required criminal check
Current immunizations meeting public health and YMCA requirements
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Bring meal preparation, dietary planning, and food purchasing skills to the YMCA’s child care services in St. Thomas.
