Help deliver regional transit and active transportation programs through surveys, reports, public outreach, and infrastructure inspections. The position serves the Cowichan Valley Regional District from Duncan.
As Sustainable Transportation Assistant, you will support both transit and active transportation portfolios within the Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager – Sustainable Transportation, you will provide administrative, technical, communications, and logistical assistance. The work includes data collection and public communications supporting the CVRD’s transportation services and network implementation.
Key Responsibilities: Support implementation of the active transportation program and network
Assist with regional transit service delivery
Develop surveys and analyze transportation data




Prepare reports and presentations for transportation initiatives
Conduct infrastructure inspections using a CVRD or personal vehicle
Requirements: Diploma in active transportation, transportation, planning, or related field
One year of related public transit or transportation experience
Experience delivering public outreach and educational programs preferred
Experience collaborating with governments, community groups, and First Nations preferred
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Bring transit, active transportation, reporting, outreach, and inspection experience to the CVRD’s sustainable transportation programs.
