As a Senior Applied AI Scientist, you will work within Model Risk Management and report to the Director, Generative and Agentic AI Model Validation. You will lead complex initiatives spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems. The work combines research, quantitative evaluation, practical judgment, and production-focused technical problem solving in a regulated workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Validate Generative AI models and Agentic AI systems across defined dimensions
Develop methodologies, testing approaches, and standards for emerging technologies
Architect enterprise applications using Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation




Build scalable AI tools with modern frameworks and cloud technologies
Document testing evidence and validation artifacts for governance and audit readiness
Requirements: Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline
At least five years of industry Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning experience
Production or enterprise Generative AI delivery experience
Strong programming and scalable application development skills
Experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or related technologies
Apply advanced AI research, programming, validation, and quantitative analysis to enterprise systems at BMO Financial Group.
