Apply forensic social work expertise at West 5th Campus in Hamilton Mountain as a full time Registered Social Worker. Support mental health recovery and risk-reduced discharges.
This temporary five-month position serves the Forensic Psychiatry Program within St. Joseph’s Health System. You will provide psychosocial assessment, counselling, case management, education, discharge planning, and consultation for mentally disordered adult offenders. The work supports inpatient treatment, outpatient services, and community reintegration.
Key Responsibilities: Provide psychosocial assessments, counselling, and psychotherapy
Coordinate cases, services, discharge planning, and consultations
Support patients and families through education and counselling




Develop community linkages and advocate in high-risk situations
Participate in teaching, mentoring, quality improvement, and research
Requirements: Bachelor of Social Work from an accredited university
Registration with the Ontario College required
Recent clinical mental health experience preferred
Knowledge of forensic risk assessment tools preferred
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
Bring registered social work practice, forensic knowledge, and collaborative care skills to St. Joseph’s Health System in Hamilton.
