Perform phlebotomy and patient testing as a Laboratory Assistant with Dynacare in Peterborough, Ontario. Work full-time weekday day shifts at 26 Hospital Drive.
This three-month contract guarantees 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You will support patient care through specimen collection, testing, accurate information handling, and compassionate customer service. The role requires a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized phlebotomy training.
Key Responsibilities: Obtain quality blood samples through skilled venipuncture techniques
Conduct patient tests and perform ECGs and Holter hookups
Collect paternity, urine, drug, and breath alcohol specimens




Enter patient and test information for Ministry requisitions
Prepare specimens and documentation according to established protocols
Requirements: Completed secondary school and laboratory assistant training
Demonstrated phlebotomy skill with anxious patients
Customer-focused approach and genuine care for patient health
Solid attention to detail and deadline-oriented self-management
English proficiency; MLPAO or CSMLS certification recommended
