This intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer supports Bluestar’s Civil Engineering team within a Calgary-based EPCM company. The position focuses on commercial building design, reinforced concrete foundations, finite element analysis, and engineering deliverables. It suits an engineer with robust technical documentation and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis and design for commercial and industrial buildings
Design steel framing, connections, bracing, and supporting structures
Design reinforced concrete and equipment foundations
Prepare calculations, criteria, reports, specifications, and drawings




Coordinate designs with clients, contractors, architects, and disciplines
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
Five-plus years designing commercial building structures
Alberta P.Eng. designation or APEGA registration eligibility
Proficiency with STAAD.Pro or similar analysis software
Knowledge of Canadian codes, CSA standards, and loading requirements
Use steel, concrete, STAAD.Pro, and engineering documentation skills to deliver coordinated structural designs with Bluestar Engineering Ltd.
