Apply hands-on food production and food safety knowledge as a Support Worker in Recent Minas, Nova Scotia, working in person Monday to Friday.

The Flower Cart Group seeks a Support Worker for What's Cooking? Commercial Kitchen. You will combine production experience, CFIA requirements, individualized coaching, and practical problem-solving. The work supports employees with disabilities while meeting customer specifications, quality standards, deadlines, and documentation requirements. The schedule is generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, portion, package, label, and handle food products
- Operate scales, bag sealers, mixers, ovens, and labelers
- Reinforce food safety, sanitation, and CFIA requirements
- Coach employees using demonstrations,



visual supports, and adaptive tools
- Maintain records, inventory, equipment, and inspection-ready workspaces

Requirements:

- Hands-on food production or commercial kitchen experience
- Familiarity with CFIA requirements and federally inspected production
- DCS 7 Core Competencies or willingness to obtain them
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted
