As an intermediate aquatic biologist, you will support industrial energy, mining, and linear projects. You will coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams across project development and execution. Your work will include biophysical evaluations, impact studies, and approval applications.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and participate in aquatic field surveys
Deliver fish and fish habitat assessments
Support long-term aquatic monitoring programs
Prepare sampling plans, methodologies, and data entry
Draft reports, assessments, and authorization requests
Requirements: Thesis-based master’s degree in an environment-related field
Three to seven years delivering environmental projects
Qualified designation or eligibility to acquire one
Experience with aquatic surveys, watercraft, and trailering
Experience electrofishing and using R and statistical analysis
Apply aquatic biology, environmental project delivery, and technical writing skills across BBA’s Calgary-based industrial consulting projects.
