Nechako Lakes School District seeks a Learning Support Worker for a continuing position starting as soon as possible. You will assist with regular or alternate programs for groups or individual students. The work includes advocacy and participation on the school-based team where required.
Key Responsibilities: Foster and develop individual student potential
Work with school and district staff
Assist teachers delivering regular programs
Support alternate programs with students
Advocate for students when required
Requirements: Completion of Grade 12 Dogwood Certificate
Education Assistant Certificate program completion
Six months working with children or youth
Experience with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilities
WHMIS 2015 Certificate and WorkSafeBC familiarity
