Support diagnostic imaging patients in Peterborough with patient preparation, positioning, documentation, and compassionate communication. This permanent part time opportunity is based at PRHC.
As a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, you will support the Medical Radiation Technologist before, during, and after imaging. You will review schedules and requisitions, prepare patients and equipment, and coordinate care with healthcare team members. MRT students receive preference.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients and equipment before imaging procedures
Position patients physically for diagnostic imaging
Answer questions and promote patient comfort
Insert intravenous lines when certified
Complete documentation and coordinate patient care
Requirements: Complete at least one year of recognized medical diagnostic training
Consideration of recognized allied health or nursing education
Preference for Medical Radiation Technologist students
Health-related coursework preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
Bring patient care, critical thinking, and imaging preparation skills to the Diagnostic Imaging team at PRHC in Peterborough.
