Support pediatric and adult imaging patients as a Diagnostic Imaging Nurse with IWK Health in Halifax, using airway management and clinical judgment.
This permanent, part time nursing position serves patients undergoing fluoroscopy, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, or interventional radiology procedures. Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, you provide evidence-based care in acute care and outpatient settings. You also educate families and coordinate referrals before sedation or general anaesthesia.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care during imaging and interventional procedures
Contact patients and families with appointment preparation instructions
Educate patients regarding pre- and post-sedation guidelines
Review histories and initiate required consultation referrals




Coordinate care with internal partners and healthcare teams
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
Registered or eligible with the Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwifery Regulator
Minimum three years nursing experience, preferably Emergency, perianaesthesia, or ICU
Required airway management experience and current BLS certification
Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
