The YMCA seeks full time permanent and substitute educators, including administrators and inclusion workers, for Pre-K programs. Educators use the Playing to Learn emergent curriculum while supporting children and families. Candidates may hold Levels 1 through 4 classification and work within YMCA standards and government regulations.

Challenge and motivate children through emergent curriculum
Support healthy growth, development, and self-confidence




Provide care while following regulations and YMCA policies
Foster inclusive relationships with children and families
Requirements: Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, or degree
AECENL Certification with Pre-K Classification
Experience in early learning or equivalent child care experience
Current Standard or Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C
Ability to lift and move children, materials, and equipment
Bring early childhood education, inclusive care, and relationship-building skills to YMCA Pre-K programs throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
