Ledcor Marine is seeking experienced Mates for its Marine division and large marine operation. You will oversee deck crews, maintain equipment, manage the Safety Management System under the Master, and promote Ledcor safety standards. The work includes coastal tug operations, tandem towing, and navigation.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee deck crew and train deck operations
Maintain safety equipment and deck gear
Manage the Safety Management System under the Master
Stand navigation watch during marine operations
Promote safety according to Ledcor standards
Requirements: Chief Mate 150 GT or Chief Mate 500 GT Domestic certificate
Three to five years’ coastal tug sea service
Prior Mate experience and tug handling skills
Transport Canada Marine Medical and marine first aid certificates
Tandem towing, voyage planning, and Coastal Navigation knowledge
