Provide medical and surgical nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse with CGMH, supporting patients across temporary overflow assignments.
This temporary part time Registered Practical Nurse position supports CGMH’s Medical, Inpatient Surgical, and Med/Surg Overflow areas. You may be assigned to either unit based on acuity while supporting temporary extended care. The role contributes to assessment, treatment, patient care, and health promotion within the Registered Practical Nurse scope. Care includes supportive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative approaches while following College of Nurses of Ontario standards. The assignment is scheduled for 12-hour shifts until approximately April 4, 2027, and two temporary vacancies are available.
Key Responsibilities: Assess patients within the Registered Practical Nurse scope
Provide supportive,



therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care
Contribute to patient treatment and health promotion
Support temporary extended care across assigned units
Follow College of Nurses of Ontario standards
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Registered Practical Nurse certificate of registration
One year of applicable nursing experience preferred
Coronary Care 1 certification considered an asset
Meditech Expanse experience preferred
Support medical-surgical patients through skilled assessment, treatment, and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse care at CGMH.
