This Fitter role supports truck upfitting projects through exact fabrication and assembly. You will interpret blueprints, plan fabrication sequences, prepare metals, and complete structural welds. The work requires quality workmanship, accurate alignment, and safe handling of heavy components.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
Measure, mark, cut, and prepare metal components
Fit, align, and position truck body components
Weld structural frames, decks, bumpers, and hitches
Operate hoists, cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment
Requirements: Minimum five years’ heavy plate fitting experience
Trade certification or journeyperson certification
Proficiency in MIG welding
Blueprint and fabrication layout interpretation ability
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Use structural fitting, welding, and blueprint interpretation skills to build accurate truck upfitting assemblies for Brandt customers.
