Support independent living with Sensity as a full time Intervenor in Sudbury, Ontario, helping people who are deafblind communicate and manage daily life. This is a six month contract.
Sensity is a not-for-profit leader in Intervenor Services for the deafblind community. You will support individuals with dual sensory impairment in their homes and communities, using communication techniques and practical assistance. Responsibilities include personal care, household routines, goal support, records, and program development.
Key Responsibilities: Empower participation in all aspects of daily living
Assist with developing and supporting individual goals
Support meal preparation, house cleaning, and volunteerism
Provide required personal care and medication administration




Maintain complete documentation and records
Requirements: Intervenor, DSW, SSW, CSW, CDA, PSW, or related education
Experience with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviours
Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds occasionally
Help people who are deafblind pursue daily independence through Sensity's communication, personal care, and community support services.
