Support resident care through laundry, infection control, and safe equipment use as a Laundry Aide at The Salvation Army Meighen Health Centre.

Reporting to the Facilities and Environmental Manager, you will care for linen supplies and residents’ personal clothing. The work requires sorting, washing, drying, labeling, and delivery while following health, safety, and quality guidelines. You will also support clean facilities, customer service, and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sort laundry by type, condition, weight, and classification
- Wash and dry loads using designated machine instructions
- Label resident clothing respectfully to prevent loss
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Facilities and Environmental Manager
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures

Requirements:

- Minimum grade 10 education
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Understanding of chemical and equipment use
- Ability to work independently or as a team
