The City of Markham seeks a temporary Violin Instructor for Angus Glen C.C. You will plan and lead basic violin instruction, adapting lessons to group abilities. The position emphasizes participant safety, communication, customer service, and leadership across recreation programming.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, instruct, and supervise violin lessons
Develop and submit group-specific lesson plans
Prepare equipment, supplies, and inventory records
Maintain attendance and participant emergency information
Enforce safety procedures throughout program activities
Requirements: High School Diploma and minimum age sixteen
Three years’ demonstrated violin theory and technique expertise
Two years’ music teaching experience across ages and abilities
Current music activity and advanced practical training
First Aid, CPR C, AED, and High Five certifications
Use violin expertise, adaptable teaching, and safety leadership to deliver accessible recreation lessons at Angus Glen C.C.
