Support youth employment through assessment, coaching, and employer development with Starling Community Services in a full time contract position.
As an Employment Specialist, you will serve youth aged 15 to 30 through the YESS program. You will assess employment barriers, strengths, and interests while developing action plans. The work includes employment counselling, job placement, employer outreach, and case management.
Key Responsibilities: Assess youth employment barriers, strengths, and interests
Develop employment action plans and career options
Match clients with appropriate employers and opportunities
Provide coaching for job retention and workplace learning
Facilitate job search and employment preparation workshops
Requirements: Degree or diploma in social sciences, business, or education
Minimum one year related employment counselling or placement experience
Career Development Practitioner designation or equivalent progress
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bring employment counselling, youth coaching, and employer engagement skills to help YESS participants pursue sustainable employment.
