Program PLCs and automation systems onsite in Stratford with Johnson Electric, using Allen Bradley, Siemens, HMI, servo, and robotics technologies.
This full time Winter 2027 student position supports Johnson Electric’s Maintenance team and reports to the PLC Specialist. You will design control systems, troubleshoot existing equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. The work includes PLC programming, vision systems, control panels, and automation support.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement control systems
Program Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
Program HMI, servo systems, and VFDs
Program robotics, automation, and vision systems
Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
Requirements: Three-year advanced diploma or engineering-related degree
Enrollment in a program including programming courses
Ability to understand electrical drawings
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or presentation software
Proficient English and good interpersonal skills
Apply PLC programming, control-system design, and troubleshooting skills within Johnson Electric’s Stratford Maintenance team.
