Lead municipal civil design with Civil 3D at McElhanney in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, supporting Vernon and Kelowna branches. Develop infrastructure plans, drawings, and specifications.
As an Intermediate Civil Engineer, you will serve as second in command to the senior engineer. You will lead diverse civil projects and support production from preliminary concepts through construction. The work includes water, wastewater, transportation, retaining structures, erosion protection, grading, drainage, and site servicing.
Key Responsibilities: Produce engineering assessments, designs, drawings, and specifications
Develop Civil 3D plans from concepts and sketches
Prepare approvals, estimates, tender documents, and contracts
Coordinate schedules, budgets,



and quality control standards
Complete field and construction inspections
Requirements: EIT or P.Eng. with two to eight years’ experience
Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
Proficiency using Civil 3D and specialized design software
Strong productivity, detail orientation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in team-oriented teams
Apply civil engineering, Civil 3D, and project coordination expertise across McElhanney’s Salmon Arm operations and regional projects.
