Support Edmonton communities part-time through front-line service, de-escalation, and welcoming programs at The Mustard Seed’s Canora Community Impact Centre.

The Mustard Seed seeks a Community Support Worker for temporary work from November through March 31, 2027. You will help implement programs addressing poverty and homelessness while supporting guests, volunteers, donors, and staff. The position reports to the Site Lead and supports other Edmonton Community Impact Centre programs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome guests, visitors, and stakeholders while completing sign-ins and intakes
- Maintain secure, healthy, respectful environments for community participants
- Apply non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Help participants access services, programs, events, and appointments
- Complete logs,



incident reports, data collection, and program evaluations

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of community development initiative experience
- Front-line experience with vulnerable populations and program facilitation
- Conflict management, networking, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently
