As a Junior/Intermediate Field Surveyor, you will contribute to highway and roadway projects while developing road construction and design knowledge. Your work will combine seasonal field surveying with office-based junior design and CAD tasks. The position supports Hatch transportation projects, including work connected to major MTO, municipal, and Marten Falls Community Access Road initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete surveying and construction inspection tasks during construction season
- Verify collected information meets regulations, standards, and accuracy requirements
- Coordinate findings with engineering personnel and project stakeholders
- Research survey evidence, maps, deeds, and other records
- Perform junior design and accurate CAD work in-office
Requirements:
- Technology diploma in a related field
- C.E.T. or Geomatics Technologist designation
- Minimum three-plus years of surveying experience
- Road construction grade layout and topographical cross-sectioning experience
- GPS, conventional equipment, and survey procedure experience
