We are searching for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team in Burnaby, BC. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and skilled manner. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generator / power generation equipment.

*NOTE: we are also open to candidates who have specialized experience in HVAC and electrical equipment.

What you'll do:

- Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of rental gensets and customer equipment and tools.
- Report machine condition to Management.




- Responsible for service documentation.
- Occasional travel to customer sites.
- Rotational on-call schedule.
- Demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Train lower-level technicians as needed.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
- Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
- Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Own the tools applicable to position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
