Support meal service as a part time Dietary Aide, using food service and customer service skills in an Extendicare residence.
Reporting to the Nutrition Manager, you will support meal service setup, preparation, serving, and cleanup. The position includes dining table service, tray delivery, kitchen cleanliness, and assistance during catering and theme events. You will also follow safe job procedures and provincial regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Serve meals professionally and courteously to residents and guests
Set up beverages, salads, desserts, and service items
Set and clear dining tables and deliver trays
Clean dishware, cutlery, kitchen, and dining areas
Assist catering, special occasions, and theme events
Requirements: Food Handler's Certificate
Food Service Worker Training Program enrollment or completion
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to lift heavy, hot items and stand or walk
Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
Bring food service, resident support, and secure meal preparation practices to Extendicare as a part time Dietary Aide.
