Teach across grades JK to 11 at Amo Ososwan School in Winneway, Quebec, covering classes and supporting students with IEPs.
This full time, fixed-term In-House Substitute Teacher contract runs through August 20, 2027, and may be renewable. You will deliver planned or emergency lessons, manage classroom routines, and collaborate with educational assistants. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday mornings.
Key Responsibilities: Cover classes from JK through Grade 11
Teach classroom plans or prepared emergency lessons
Support IEP accommodations with educational assistants
Manage behavior within established classroom expectations
Record attendance and provide coverage recap notes
Requirements: Bachelor of Education degree or higher
Valid Canadian provincial or territorial teaching certification
Ontario College of Teachers membership or willingness to obtain
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Teaching First Nations students experience is preferred
Bring certified teaching, responsive classroom management, and IEP support to daily coverage at Amo Ososwan School.
