Rocky View Schools is hiring a temporary, full time Learning Assistant for grades 10-12 students. Reporting to the Principal, this position assists learners across classroom, school, and community settings. You will follow teacher directions and individualized plans while supporting health, learning, safety, and independence.
Key Responsibilities: Reinforce teacher-directed strategies for diverse student needs
Prepare individualized program materials with teaching staff
Promote student learning, independence, and peer interaction
Participate in requested IPP or SSP planning meetings




Maintain student and personnel confidentiality
Requirements: Ability to follow teaching staff plans and directions
Ability to build rapport with students and staff
Professional handling of complex and sensitive issues
Ability to manage stress and adapt to changing situations
Robust communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Use collaborative planning, positive behaviour supports, and responsive student care to help diverse learners build independence at Rocky View Schools.
