Lead employee relations expertise and people leadership at Westland in a hybrid Manager role based at the Surrey, BC head office.
As Manager, People Relations, you will advise leaders on complex workplace issues and develop the People Relations Advisor. You will strengthen processes, build manager capability, and use data and emerging technology to improve practice. The role supports practical, risk-informed decisions across Westland.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the People Relations team
Manage sensitive employee relations matters and workplace investigations
Advise leaders on performance, conduct, accommodations, leaves, and terminations
Improve intake, triage, documentation, tools, and case management




Use data and technology to identify risks and streamline workflows
Requirements: Ten or more years of progressive employee relations experience
At least three years leading an employee relations or HR team
Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and workplace requirements
Experience with investigations, mediation, negotiation, and complex guidance
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Bring employee relations judgment, people leadership, and continuous improvement skills to Westland’s Surrey-based hybrid workplace practice.
