Senior Procurement Contracts Officer with complex sourcing expertise, fully remote from anywhere in Canada while supporting CNL’s Chalk River Laboratory.
As a Senior Contracts Officer, you will manage complex goods and services contracts for CNL. You will lead engagements, suppliers, sourcing processes, and negotiations while applying procurement judgment. The work includes RFP development, contract strategies, evaluations, risk management, and post-award oversight.
Key Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams through complex procurement engagements
Develop contract strategies, scopes, criteria, and procurement documents
Conduct market research and identify potential suppliers
Lead evaluations, negotiations, awards, and recommendations




Maintain procurement files and oversee contract execution
Requirements: Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, engineering, or contracts
Three to five years’ pertinent experience, or eight equivalent years
Knowledge of contract law, procurement practices, terminology, and risks
Experience with automated procurement systems, preferably Oracle and MERX
Reliability Status eligibility with three years’ verifiable history
