Apply acute medical-surgical nursing expertise as a Temporary Regular Part Time RPN in the Progressive Care Unit. Current Ontario registration and BCLS certification are essential.

This temporary assignment runs from January 2027 to June 2027. The RPN must hold current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario, complete a Coronary Care Course, and demonstrate airway management skills. The position requires practice within the full nursing scope and familiarity with specified clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer and manage blood and blood products successfully
- Process physician orders according to nursing practice
- Administer oral, subcutaneous, IM, and IV medications
- Perform venipuncture and initiate and manage IV therapy




- Maintain CKHA nursing practice expectations and satisfactory attendance

Requirements:

- Current Registered Practical Nurse certification with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Minimum two years acute medical-surgical experience within three years
- Successful completion of a Coronary Care Course
- Current BCLS certification and airway management skills
- Computer skills with Intranet, Microsoft Office, Care Manager, STAR, Solcom, and Risk Monitor Pro
