This Manager, Financial Risk position sits within the Financial Risk Strategy team and supports independent oversight for senior management and the Board. You will assess business and investment strategies, identify enhancements, and contribute to risk management across the company’s group of businesses. Exposure includes market, credit, liquidity, and investment risks.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee business and investment strategy through financial risk reviews
Assess methods for measuring and managing financial risks
Identify opportunities to enhance internal risk strategies




Review risk analysis and support monitoring and reporting
Engage senior stakeholders on strategic direction and alignment
Requirements: Background in financial institutions or corporate finance
Excellent relationship development and interpersonal skills
Effective cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration
Proactive, self-directed approach to concurrent tasks
Actuarial or CFA professional qualification preferred
Use financial risk oversight, strategic analysis, and stakeholder communication to strengthen enterprise-wide decision-making at Great-West Lifeco.
