As Senior Director, Data Architecture, you will own RBC’s target architecture and RBC Lumina reference architecture. You will define data products, semantic layers, ingestion patterns, and governance standards. The mandate spans manufacturing, distribution, discovery, consumption, and governance across RBC’s technology stacks.
Key Responsibilities: Own target data and RBC Lumina reference architectures
Define canonical models, glossaries, contracts, quality rules, and SLAs
Standardize batch, streaming, CDC, events, and API ingestion
Define metadata, semantic layers, ontologies,



and agent-access patterns
Guide architecture reviews, roadmaps, exceptions, and platform disposition
Requirements: 15+ years in data architecture or data engineering
5+ years leading architects at enterprise scale
Depth across lakehouse, warehouse, streaming, CDC, and data products
Knowledge of BCBS 239, privacy regulation, and OSFI expectations
Ability to align CDO, engineering, and business data owners
Bring enterprise architecture leadership, data governance expertise, and AI-ready thinking to RBC’s transformation in Toronto.
