The Department of Education seeks a temporary teacher for a 1.0 FTE assignment ending March 26, 2027. Support literacy, numeracy, and social responsibility through student-centred learning. Work with First Nation governments, families, community stakeholders, and school staff in a culturally responsive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach Grade 8 and 9 students in classroom and outdoor settings
- Build culturally responsive, student-centred learning approaches
- Support literacy, numeracy, and social responsibility development
- Collaborate with families, stakeholders, and First Nation communities
- Implement differentiated instruction and assessment practices

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Education
- Recent teaching experience with Grades 7 through 9
- Experience with assessment for learning and differentiated instruction
- Experience incorporating outdoor education and field trips
- Yukon Teacher Certification and required background check
