Provide compassionate direct care for respite clients as a Health Care Attendant at Whitehorse General Hospital in Whitehorse, Yukon.
This regular part time, on-site position supports patients' independence and quality of life. Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, you will address physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs while supporting acute care patients under the duty Nurse's supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Serve regularly as primary respite client caregiver
Enhance patient independence and quality of life
Assist with daily living activities
Address emotional and spiritual care needs
Perform related duties in clean, safe environments
Requirements: Strong ability to assist patients with daily living
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Effective independent and team-based work habits
Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
Valid Yukon Class 5 driver's license desired
Use direct care, organization, and culturally responsive service to support respite and acute care patients in Whitehorse.
