The Delivery Driver Apprentice works from the GFS Thorold Depot, supporting experienced Drivers while developing delivery skills. This apprentice role includes safe food handling, product verification, customer interactions, and health and safety procedures. The program may facilitate progression from a G licence toward DZ and potentially AZ within a year.
Key Responsibilities: Sort and unload food products manually
Hand-wheel products into customer locations
Verify delivered products at customer locations
Provide exceptional service and maintain customer relationships
Follow company policies and secure work procedures
Requirements: At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or educational equivalent
Valid G licence with clean driving record
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry items up to 90 pounds
English fluency and effective communication skills
Develop delivery expertise through training, customer service, safe handling, and physically active work across Niagara routes.
